What they need

Performing Arts Centre Coordinator

Full-time, Term-time, Permanent

Epsom, Auckland

Commencement Date: Term 4, 2026

About us:

Epsom-based St Cuthbert's College is one of New Zealand's most distinctive schools for girls, a place where academic excellence, a purpose-built all-girls environment, and an extraordinary second campus come together to prepare every student for the life she chooses to create. Combined with outstanding academic outcomes, a breadth of co-curricular life, and a values-led community that walks alongside each girl from age five to eighteen, these elements create an education that shapes not just what a girl achieves, but who she becomes.

St Cuthbert’s College is seeking a Performing Arts Coordinator to join the Performing Arts Faculty. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and exciting learning environment that provides an extensive range of curriculum and co-curricular learning opportunities for our students across Music, Dance, Drama and Productions.

Key accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled administrator who is able to build constructive and collegial relationships with the Faculty Staff team and the large team of itinerant teachers. They will build positive relationships with a range of other stakeholders, including parents, students, and wider College staff.

The Coordinator manages room bookings and maintains calendars for Performing Arts spaces, including the itinerant programme timetable, ensuring facilities are well organised, accessible and used effectively across the College.

The role maintains the Performing Arts presence on myCollege and supports communication with other College teams. The role also assists with the preparation of promotional materials and documentation for Performing Arts programmes and events. Working closely with the Performing Arts team, the Coordinator assists with the organisation and delivery of a range of events and activities, including concerts, productions and College-wide events.

Ideal candidate:

This is a front facing role at the Performing Arts Reception, so the ability to warmly welcome students, staff, parents and visitors is essential. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the smooth running of the Performing Arts Faculty, both on a day-to-day basis and with a range of evening events which showcase our students. They will have the ability to support teaching and itinerant staff in an administrative capacity.

The successful candidate will preferably have experience in a Performing Arts related discipline and/or experience working in a secondary school context. They will understand the value of the Performing Arts opportunities that the Faculty provides. Skills in event planning and management would be advantageous but not essential.

What we can offer you:

  • An opportunity for professional development and growth
  • A collaborative and supportive working environment
  • Well-resourced facilities
  • Access to the on-site fitness centre, indoor pool, and a physiotherapist
  • Access to free Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Eligible for life insurance policy, if working minimum 15 hours per week
