Operations Manager

The High End DIY Luxury Fragrance Bar is seeking an experienced, polished, and highly capable Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our luxury fragrance experience business in Las Vegas.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring exceptional execution across both our studio operations and select off-site events. The Operations Manager will oversee staffing and scheduling, team performance, client experience, inventory and supply management, operational readiness, and the consistent execution of The High End's service standards.

We are specifically seeking candidates with professional experience in luxury retail, luxury hospitality, beauty, premium client services, experiential businesses, or other high-end environments. Previous management, supervisory, or substantial team-lead experience is required.

Candidates with experience in event operations, event logistics, conventions, hospitality events, brand activations, or corporate events are highly desired. The ideal candidate understands that successful events require far more than excellent guest service—they require detailed preparation, logistics coordination, inventory planning, staff management, adaptability, and the ability to execute calmly in fast-moving environments.

Previous fragrance experience is not required. Comprehensive training in our fragrance creation process, client experience, and operational procedures will be provided.

What You'll DoOperations & Business Readiness

  • Oversee daily operational execution across The High End's studio and assigned off-site experiences
  • Ensure the studio remains organized, properly staffed, appropriately stocked, and prepared for scheduled business
  • Maintain the elevated presentation and operational standards expected of a luxury service environment
  • Monitor upcoming appointments, groups, events, and business needs to ensure adequate staffing, inventory, supplies, and preparation
  • Ensure opening, closing, appointment preparation, studio reset, and operational procedures are completed consistently
  • Identify potential operational issues and proactively develop solutions before they impact clients or business operations
  • Maintain organized client-facing, storage, inventory, and operational areas
  • Implement established company procedures while exercising sound independent judgment when circumstances require flexibility
  • Communicate significant operational, staffing, inventory, and client matters to ownership
  • Serve as a trusted operational leader capable of maintaining company standards and business continuity in the owner's absence

Team Leadership, Staffing & Scheduling

  • Lead and supervise studio and assigned event team members
  • Create and maintain employee schedules based on appointment volume, event needs, employee availability, and anticipated business demand
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and coordinate coverage for absences, call-outs, open shifts, and schedule changes
  • Determine appropriate staffing needs for larger appointments and assigned off-site events
  • Assist with interviewing, onboarding, training, and developing new employees
  • Coach team members on professionalism, client communication, operational procedures, time management, appointment leadership, and service standards
  • Monitor employee performance and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Hold employees accountable for punctuality, reliability, productivity, professionalism, and assigned responsibilities
  • Identify performance or training concerns and communicate significant matters to ownership
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately while ensuring assigned tasks are completed to company standards
  • Lead by example and establish a professional, accountable, solution-oriented team environment

Luxury Client Experience

  • Ensure every client receives a polished, personalized, knowledgeable, and memorable experience
  • Maintain consistency in service standards across both studio appointments and off-site experiences
  • Build professional relationships with clients while maintaining appropriate discretion and boundaries
  • Assist team members with complex client situations and confidently step in when management support is necessary
  • Handle client concerns and service recovery using sound judgment while balancing client satisfaction with company policies
  • Maintain composure when working with demanding clientele, changing circumstances, or competing priorities
  • Recognize opportunities to exceed expectations and elevate the overall guest experience
  • Represent The High End professionally when interacting with clients, venue partners, corporate contacts, event organizers, and hospitality professionals

Inventory, Supplies & Operational Controls

  • Maintain oversight of fragrance materials, bottles, packaging, retail products, printed materials, event supplies, and general operational inventory
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure necessary products and materials are reordered before shortages occur
  • Maintain organized and accurate inventory and storage areas
  • Anticipate inventory requirements based on appointment volume, group bookings, and upcoming events
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of event-specific inventory and supplies
  • Monitor product usage and identify unusual shortages, excessive waste, or discrepancies
  • Ensure supplies are properly stored, organized, labeled, and accessible to employees
  • Coordinate routine restocking and communicate purchasing requirements according to company procedures
  • Verify that studio appointments and assigned events are appropriately stocked before service begins

Event Operations & Logistics

A significant growth opportunity within this position is the ability to take increasing ownership of The High End's off-site event operations.

The High End provides fragrance experiences for corporate clients, luxury properties, conventions, private clientele, brand activations, and other premium events throughout Las Vegas.

Depending on experience and demonstrated performance, the Operations Manager may be responsible for overseeing events from operational preparation through on-site execution.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Review upcoming event requirements and develop operational plans for successful execution
  • Coordinate staffing and employee assignments based on anticipated guest volume and event requirements
  • Determine inventory, product, equipment, and supply needs for each event
  • Oversee packing, preparation, transportation readiness, setup, breakdown, and return of event materials
  • Create and utilize event checklists to ensure necessary equipment, inventory, signage, materials, and supplies arrive on-site
  • Coordinate event timelines, arrival requirements, setup windows, service periods, and breakdown procedures
  • Communicate with venues, event organizers, corporate contacts, and other stakeholders regarding operational requirements
  • Navigate the logistical requirements associated with large resorts, convention properties, private venues, and high-volume events
  • Lead and direct event staff before and during activations
  • Assign responsibilities and ensure team members understand event expectations before guest service begins
  • Monitor inventory and supplies throughout events and anticipate replenishment needs
  • Manage guest flow and adjust staffing or operational processes when necessary
  • Troubleshoot unexpected logistical or client-service challenges in real time
  • Maintain a calm, professional presence in high-volume and time-sensitive environments
  • Ensure event spaces and team presentation consistently reflect The High End's luxury standards
  • Oversee post-event breakdown, inventory reconciliation, organization, and return of company property
  • Participate in post-event review to identify operational improvements for future activations

Experience managing event logistics, convention operations, luxury hospitality events, corporate activations, experiential marketing, mobile services, or large-scale guest experiences is particularly valuable for this position.

Fragrance Experience & Client Appointments

The Operations Manager will receive full training in The High End's fragrance creation experience. While this is primarily a management and operations position, the manager must understand the client experience thoroughly and be capable of stepping into appointments when business needs require.

This may include:

  • Leading private, semi-private, and group perfume-making experiences
  • Educating clients on fragrance notes, blending concepts, and our fragrance creation process
  • Guiding clients through creating a fragrance reflective of their individual preferences
  • Maintaining an engaging and polished experience while managing appointment timing
  • Answering client questions confidently and professionally
  • Supporting product recommendations and additional purchases when appropriate

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

  • Previous management, supervisory, or substantial team-lead experience
  • Professional experience in luxury retail, luxury hospitality, beauty, premium client services, experiential businesses, or another high-end customer-facing environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading and holding employees accountable
  • Exceptional client service and professional communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities
  • Experience coordinating employees, schedules, or daily operations
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • The ability to make appropriate operational decisions independently
  • The ability to remain composed, organized, and solution-oriented under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Confidence interacting with employees, clients, groups, vendors, and business partners
  • A polished professional presence appropriate for luxury clientele
  • Reliability, punctuality, discretion, and sound professional judgment
  • Availability and flexibility to support select off-site events based on business needs

Highly Desired Experience

Candidates with one or more of the following backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply:

  • Luxury retail management
  • Luxury hotel, resort, casino, spa, or hospitality operations
  • Event operations and logistics
  • Convention or conference operations
  • Corporate events and brand activations
  • Experiential marketing or experiential retail
  • High-volume luxury guest experiences
  • Event staffing and team leadership
  • Event setup, breakdown, transportation, or inventory logistics
  • Vendor or venue coordination
  • Inventory management and purchasing
  • Employee training and development
  • Client service recovery
  • Premium concierge or guest services

Experience working within Las Vegas resort, casino, convention, or luxury event environments is especially valuable.

Who Will Thrive in This Role

This position is ideal for someone who understands that excellent operations are often invisible to the client. The guest simply experiences a polished, seamless service because someone behind the scenes anticipated the staffing, inventory, timing, logistics, presentation, and countless details required to make that experience possible.

We are looking for that person.

You should naturally notice what needs attention, anticipate potential problems, take initiative, communicate clearly, delegate effectively, and follow through without requiring constant direction.

You should also be comfortable transitioning between very different environments. One day may involve managing studio staffing, resolving a client concern, checking inventory, and coaching an employee. Another may involve preparing supplies and staffing for a major convention activation at a Las Vegas resort and then leading the team through execution on-site.

The right candidate will be equally comfortable behind the scenes managing logistics and in front of the client representing a luxury brand.

For an exceptional Operations Manager, our growing event business provides the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility for some of The High End's most exciting experiences and clientele.

Above all, the Operations Manager is entrusted with ensuring that our people, our operations, and our client experiences consistently reflect The High End standard.
