Perioperative Surgical Technician

Alma at Addison Surgery Center is a privately owned ambulatory surgery center specializing in facial, head, neck and facial feminization plastic surgery, located in Palo Alto. Our center is focused on providing exceptional, above and beyond personal care to each patient throughout their surgical stay. Our ASC is QUAD A Medicare certified with one OR and 5 surgeons. We are looking for an experienced per diem Surgical Tech to join our team. Scheduling flexibility is important as this positions hours and days per week fluctuate based on surgery schedule and patient needs. Typical schedule would be 2-6 shifts per month. Shifts vary in length from 8-10 hours depending on the schedule and needs.

The surgical Technologist performs technical responsibilities relative to assisting physicians with the instrumentation of surgical intervention throughout the perioperative process. Monitors PAR levels of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse

Skills

• Proven experience as a surgical tech
• Completion of Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training and experience.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures and willingness to follow them at all times
• Knowledge and experience with sterile processing of instruments
• A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsible, reliable and compassionate
• Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking

Pay: $48.00 - $56.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 16.0 per week
