Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Permanent Lights Subcontractor to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting lighting systems across various construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that all lighting installations meet safety standards, blueprints, and technical specifications, contributing to the successful completion of remodeling, new builds, and restoration projects. Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow detailed construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to accurately install lighting fixtures and systems.
• Install, repair, and maintain various lighting components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Measure dimensions precisely using tape measures and other tools to ensure proper placement of lights according to specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and troubleshoot technical issues on-site.
• Conduct inspections of installed lighting systems to verify functionality, safety, and adherence to project plans.
• Assist with the installation of building materials such as drywall, stucco, tile masonry, and trim carpentry as needed for project completion.
• Operate heavy equipment safely when required for site preparation or material handling related to lighting installations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management, electrical work, or related fields with a focus on lighting installation.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, site inspection procedures, and building material installation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, roofing, drywall, plastering, masonry, tile laying, gutter installation, and fixture installation is a plus.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and heavy equipment operation for various tasks.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam software or similar digital markup tools for reviewing plans is preferred.
• Ability to interpret dimensional measurements accurately and follow blueprint specifications diligently.
• Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving on-site.
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks including ladder use and working at heights safely.
