About the Role:

Plugz Electric is looking for a detail-oriented Permit Coordinator to join our growing team in Forest Lake, MN! In this role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our electrical projects moving forward by managing the permitting process from start to finish. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, submit, and track electrical permit applications with local municipalities and jurisdictions
• Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and inspectors to ensure timely permit approvals
• Maintain accurate records of permit statuses, approvals, and inspection schedules
• Communicate with city and county building departments to resolve permit issues or delays
• Schedule and confirm inspections with local authorities and field crews
• Ensure all permit documentation is compliant with local, state, and NEC codes
• Manage multiple active permits simultaneously across various project sites

Requirements:

• Prior experience in permit coordination, construction administration, or a related field preferred
• Familiarity with electrical or construction permitting processes is a strong plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with municipalities and internal teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or project management software
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
• Ability to work independently and proactively problem-solve permit-related challenges
