Personal Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Accountant to manage the financial affairs of an individual client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing personalized financial guidance. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks. The Personal Accountant will serve as a trusted financial partner, ensuring all financial activities are compliant and efficiently managed.

Duties

• Manage daily financial transactions, including income, expenses, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain and update accurate financial records using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries to provide clear insights into the client’s financial status.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations by preparing necessary documentation.
• Coordinate with tax professionals during tax season to facilitate filings and audits.
• Provide personalized financial advice based on the client’s goals and circumstances.
• Track invoices, payments, and receivables to ensure timely processing.
• Assist with investment tracking and other personal finance management tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Personal Accountant or in a similar role managing individual finances.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
• Good communication skills to effectively explain financial data and recommendations.
• Knowledge of basic tax laws and regulations related to personal finance.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
