Duties

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Support patients with medication administration and monitor health status according to care plans
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
• Conduct light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and improve mental well-being
• Help with mobility and transfer techniques using proper body mechanics to ensure safety during heavy lifting or repositioning
• Document care activities accurately and report any changes in health or behavior to supervising healthcare professionals

Qualifications

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect compassionately with clients of all ages
• Valid training or certification in caregiving, medication administration, or related fields is advantageous
• Reliable and punctual with a flexible attitude towards shift schedules
• Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and maintaining hygiene standards
