Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and safety, and promote their independence and well-being. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, reporting findings accurately
• Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
• Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer devices to safely move residents with mobility challenges
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control protocols
• Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents thoroughly to ensure continuity of care

Requirements

• Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or dementia care are a plus
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care needs is advantageous
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations

Pay: $18.80 - $25.00 per day
