Personal Care Assistant (PCA): Immediate Openings

Job Overview

We are hiring compassionate, dependable Personal Care Assistants to support our clients in their homes. This is a non-hands-on role: PCAs do not lift, transfer, or provide physical care to clients. We currently have clients who need care in the following North Carolina counties:

• Franklin County
• Wake County
• Chatham County
• Nash County
• Durham County
• Orange County

Applicants must live in one of these counties and must be available to start immediately. If you are interested, please apply and tell us which county you live in.

Services You Will Provide

• Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Prepare meals and snacks according to each client's dietary needs
• Do light housekeeping, including dishes, sweeping, tidying, and taking out trash
• Do laundry and change bed linens
• Provide medication reminders as directed in the care plan
• Run errands such as grocery shopping and pharmacy pick-ups
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments and community outings
• Give verbal reminders and encouragement to help clients follow their daily routines
• Provide supervision and keep the home safe and free of hazards, including for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's
• Engage clients in activities such as walks, games, reading, and hobbies
• Observe and report any changes in a client's condition to the supervisor
• Follow each client's care plan and document the services provided at every visit
• Protect client privacy in line with HIPAA requirements
• Respect each client's dignity, preferences, and independence

Requirements

• Live in Franklin, Wake, Chatham, Nash, Durham, or Orange County
• Available to start immediately
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Able to pass a background check
• Dependable, punctual, and caring, with good communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in home care, assisted living, a group home, or a nursing home
• Experience with seniors or individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Current CPR
