Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety
• Support patients with medication administration following prescribed instructions and safety protocols
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space to promote hygiene and well-being
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and enhance mental health
• Help with transfers and heavy lifting using proper techniques to prevent injury
• Document care activities accurately in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to supervising staff

Skills

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care environments preferred
• Strong patient care skills with a compassionate, respectful approach towards clients of all ages and abilities
• Knowledge of dementia care, senior care, and working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Reliable and detail-oriented with the ability to follow care plans precisely
• Basic knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety procedures
