Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, and ensure their comfort and safety. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and progress in compliance with standards
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings while ensuring client safety
• Support patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism, or other neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities through specialized care techniques
• Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and emergency response procedures

Skills

• Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior/geriatrics care settings
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare team members
• Experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or home health environments is highly desirable
• Capable of providing compassionate personal care assistance while respecting residents’ rights and dignity
• Skilled in cleaning routines necessary for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment
• Ability to assist with a variety of tasks including cooking nutritious meals and supporting community engagement activities

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
