Personal Care Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals with specific health needs. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being. Experience working with epileptic patients is recommended, and the ability to lift and move weights ranging from 180 to 200 pounds is required to effectively support mobility and transfer needs.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring safety at all times.
• Help with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as needed.
• Safely lift, transfer, and reposition clients weighing between 180 to 200 pounds.
• Monitor clients for any signs of medical distress or emergencies, particularly related to epilepsy.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for the client at all times.
• Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in the client’s condition to healthcare professionals or family members.

Skills

• Prior experience working with epileptic patients is recommended.
• Strong physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy individuals safely.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.

• Ability to remain calm and responsive in emergency situations.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
