Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various care settings. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe, respectful environment. Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and comfort
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
• Maintain cleanliness of residents’ living areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
• Follow individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, quality care
• Document all care activities thoroughly in accordance with policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize changes in condition promptly
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely
• Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and healthcare team members
• Demonstrated understanding of resident’s rights and confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
