About the Role:

We are seeking Personal Care Workers to join our team on a Casual Basis.

Various shifts are available, providing flexibility to suit your schedule.

You will be based at our Abbey House, located at 300 Range Road Mittagong NSW 2575.

Abbey House is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Personal Care Workers who demonstrate a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting the elderly. The successful candidates will join an established, dynamic, and supportive care team, delivering high-quality personal care. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to develop a career in the growing aged care sector while making a genuine difference in the lives of residents.

Daily duties:

• Provide quality care according to the current Resident Care Plan to meet the individuals needs and enhance quality of life.
• Assist with personal care including showering, grooming, dressing and toileting
• Support residents with mobility, transfers and daily living activities
• Assist with meals, hydration and nutritional support
• Accurately document care provided and report any changes in condition
• Communicate effectively with Registered Nurses and the broader clinical team
• Promote a positive and inclusive environment for residents and families

Desired skills and experience:

• Police Check (Essential)
• At least 1 - 2 years experience as a personal care worker (desirable).
• Have Certificate III or Certificate IV in Nursing (desirable).
• Demonstrates excellence in customer service and care; and
• Has an interest in working with the elderly.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A reliable, compassionate and professional approach
