Personal Nurse

About the role

The Personal Nurse is responsible for providing personalized nursing care and health support to an individual in a private or home setting. The role involves monitoring the client's health condition, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and assisting with daily healthcare needs while maintaining the client's comfort, safety, and privacy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalized nursing care based on the client's medical and healthcare needs
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and overall health condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions as prescribed
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living when necessary
• Maintain accurate and updated records of medications, treatments, vital signs, and health observations
• Coordinate with doctors, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare providers as needed
• Accompany the client to medical appointments, hospital visits, or other healthcare-related activities when required
• Respond appropriately to changes in the client's condition and handle basic emergency situations
• Provide health education and guidance to the client and/or family members
• Ensure proper hygiene, safety, and infection-control practices

About you

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent nursing qualification
• Previous experience in home care, private duty nursing, hospital, geriatric, or personal nursing care is preferred
• Knowledgeable in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, basic nursing procedures, and emergency care
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, compassionate, trustworthy, and discreet
• Able to work independently and respond appropriately to the client's needs
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, or extended shifts when required
• Physically capable of assisting with mobility and basic personal care, when necessary
• Must be willing to work in a private residence and/or accompany the client outside the home as needed
