Compersation: $18.00/ Hourly

At The League for People with Disabilities, we believe in fostering independence, building self-esteem, and creating inclusive communities. We're looking for dedicated, compassionate Support Counselors to help individuals reach their fullest potential – and have fun while doing it!

What You'll Do:

• Build strong, positive relationships with participants and their families
• Support individuals in developing life skills like communication, socialization, and self-help
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate community activities
• Collaborate with families and professionals to achieve participant goals
• Document progress using the iCareManager App in a timely manner
• Champion participant independence while respecting their choices and voices

• Responsible and reliable – you follow through and show up
• Energetic, creative, and eager to make a difference every day

What You'll Need:

• Be 18 years or older
• Have a high school diploma
• 100+ hours of experience working with people with disabilities
• A valid driver's license (no more than 3 points) and reliable transportation
• A smartphone capable of running required apps
• Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs
• Bonus if you have skills in ASL, behavior management, or experience with autism/seizure disorders
