Personal Support Worker

Duties

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Support clients with medication administration following prescribed guidelines and safety protocols
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed to promote health and comfort
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance mental stimulation and social interaction
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space
• Monitor clients’ health status, report changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
• Provide compassionate companionship, ensuring emotional support and respectful communication

Skills

• Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly valued
• Demonstrated experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia care
• Strong caregiving skills with a focus on safety, patience, and empathy
• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
• Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
