Personal Support Worker

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role is essential in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for our clients, especially seniors and individuals with disabilities. Duties

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Administer medications following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
• Support clients with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized care techniques
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding if necessary
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
• Support clients with activities that promote independence and social engagement
• Document care provided accurately and report any changes in health or behavior to supervisors
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for clients and staff

Requirements

• Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care is preferred
• Knowledge of senior care, working with individuals with disabilities, dementia care, and medication administration is highly desirable
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
• Ability to perform caregiving duties with patience, empathy, and professionalism
• Physical ability to assist with mobility support and perform light cleaning or meal preparation tasks
• Reliable transportation or the ability to commute easily to client locations if required
• Must be willing to undergo background checks and adhere to health and safety regulations
