Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker with PSW certificate to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by supporting their daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to promote their well-being.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
• Maintain cleanliness in the living environment, ensuring a safe and hygienic space for clients.
• Help with mobility assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Document client progress and report any concerns or changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Engage clients in social activities to encourage interaction and mental stimulation.

Experience

• Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, nursing home settings, or hospice care is preferred.
• Background in caregiving or home care is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• A valid certification or training related to nursing or caregiving is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $21.71-$21.91 per hour
