What they need
Curion is looking for an exceptional Personal Technology Specialist to become a trusted partner for our clients' most important devices and digital lives.
This is a hands-on, client-facing technology role. You'll be the person our clients call when a laptop won't sync, an email account locks them out, or a new phone needs to be set up exactly the way they like it. You'll work both remotely and onsite at client homes and offices throughout Greater Boston and Cape Cod, resolving issues, anticipating needs, and making sure our clients' personal technology just works. You won't be the only one who cares about getting it right, but you'll be the one clients trust to make it right.
If you're energized by solving problems for people who depend on you, and you take real pride in leaving someone's technology better than you found it, we'd love to meet you.
Who is Curion?
Curion provides concierge technology management for some of the most discerning individuals and families in Greater Boston. Our clients rely on us to simplify every aspect of their technology, from personal devices and home networks to smart homes, security systems, audio/video, lighting, Wi-Fi, access control, and ongoing technology planning. Our clients don’t hire us simply because we’re technical experts. They hire us because they trust us. We communicate clearly. We follow through relentlessly. We sweat the details. We anticipate needs before they’re expressed. We make technology feel effortless.
Where are we looking?
Boston, MA. This position requires frequent travel to client homes and offices in and around Greater Boston and Cape Cod.
What type of job is this?
Full-time
What is the compensation?
The annual base salary for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. In addition to base salary, this position participates in our performance bonus program and receives a 100% company-funded medical insurance plan along with a $250 monthly employer contribution to your Health Savings Account (HSA) ($500 for insurance plans with dependents). Combined, the total compensation package can reach approximately $120,000, depending on performance and benefit elections.
Who would you report to?
Our Client Services Director.
What should you bring to the table?
- Proven expertise across personal and workplace technology ecosystems, including Google Workspace, iOS, and mobile device management (MDM), with the ability to not only resolve issues but anticipate needs and optimize device and cloud configurations.
- History of delivering concierge-level service to discerning clients, demonstrating discretion, patience, and professionalism in high-stakes environments.
- Genuine passion for technology. You stay curious, follow trends, and enjoy tailoring solutions to each individual or family rather than applying one-size-fits-all fixes.
- Fluency in Apple products (and comfort with cross-platform environments), with the ability to translate technical details into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical clients.
- Adaptability with business tools such as Zendesk, Slack, and RingCentral, plus the resourcefulness to quickly learn new platforms as our operations evolve.
- Strong communication and relationship skills, including written, verbal, and in person, with the mindset that every interaction is an opportunity to build trust.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization, ensuring seamless client experiences and precise follow-through.
- Flexibility to travel throughout Greater Boston with a professional presence and a clean driving record.
What will really get our attention?
- Experience helping clients integrate technology seamlessly into their personal and professional routines.
- Experience supporting connected lifestyles: wearables, streaming devices, wireless audio, or cloud-based storage/backup solutions.
- Prior training or hands-on experience with client service platforms like Zendesk, RingCentral, or Slack.
- Familiarity with managing and troubleshooting personal productivity ecosystems (e.g. Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, iCloud).
- Exposure to digital identity and security tools (e.g. password managers, multi-factor authentication apps, VPNs).
What we bring to the table
- A team of aces willing to do anything for each other
- Competitive salary
- Performance bonus opportunity
- 100% company-paid medical insurance
- $250 monthly Health Savings Account contribution ($500 for insurance plans with dependents)
- Eligibility for dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance
- Flexible time off policy
- 401(k) plan
- Remote-first work environment
What would a typical day look like?
You would be responsible for supporting our clients with their personal technology needs, working closely with our internal team and also directly with the clients. We define “personal technology” as cell phones, laptops, smart pads, email systems, apps, file systems, networks, cloud solutions, and information security.
We have others on the team who focus on the home technology side of our clients’ needs. We define “home technology” as security systems, entertainment systems, intercoms, phone systems, video conferencing, streaming services, automation systems, lighting control, smart thermostats, etc. The list is never ending, and always expanding.
The person in this role will be primarily responsible for meeting the technology needs of our clients and providing both remote and onsite troubleshooting support when a client’s personal technology stops working, or when there’s a user error prohibiting them from accessing or leveraging their technology. A lot of your work can be done remotely, but there will also be regular needs for you to meet a client at their home or office in Boston.
You’ll have a teammate who is dedicated to being your “first-responder” on the team. This person will receive the incoming call from the client, and conduct triage to understand the symptoms and potential root of their problem. This teammate will properly document all of the relevant info related to the problem in our ticketing system, and will then escalate it to your attention. You will then attempt to solve it remotely, or go onsite to resolve the issue if it requires in-person attention.
On any given day, you’re likely focusing on several clients throughout the course of the day, with a mixture of remote and in-person support. You’re likely handling 8-10 different tickets remotely, and then going onsite to one or two client homes on any given day. You’ll have a company vehicle for transportation, as well as other company provided equipment such as the latest Mac Pro to conduct your work.
Given the small size of our team, you’ll likely also find yourself assisting other teammates who are troubleshooting technology issues for our clients. You’ll quickly learn about major brands for smart home technology, control systems for them, and how to identify/resolve common issues that frequently occur with such systems.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting support for clients' personal technology, including phones, laptops, tablets, email, apps, file systems, networks, cloud solutions, and information security.
- Manage a daily caseload of client tickets, prioritizing based on urgency and impact.
- Conduct onsite visits at client homes and offices throughout Greater Boston and Cape Cod.
- Anticipate clients' technology needs and proactively recommend solutions suited to their lifestyle, rather than waiting to be asked.
- Partner with the team's triage teammate to ensure smooth handoff, documentation, and follow-through on every ticket.
- Optimize and maintain device, account, and cloud configurations across Google Workspace, iOS, MDM, and related platforms.
- Support teammates on home technology issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of every client interaction in our ticketing system.
- Uphold strict client confidentiality and discretion in all interactions.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt salaried position. Our typical business hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, but because this role involves direct support of clients' personal technology, you should expect some flexibility around evening or weekend availability when a time-sensitive issue requires it. This position participates in the on-call rotation.
What this role is NOT
This is not a back-office IT role, and it's not a role where you wait for a ticket to land in your queue and work it in isolation. You're client-facing, and often the face of Curion in someone's home or office. You're not applying one-size-fits-all fixes; you're tailoring solutions to how each client actually lives and works. And you're not just closing tickets: you're thinking about what else might break as a result of the fix you just made, and getting ahead of it.
Who thrives here?
The people who excel in this role genuinely enjoy being the person behind the scenes who makes everything work. They don’t need to be the hero in the room. They take pride in knowing everyone else performs better because they were organized, prepared, and thinking three steps ahead. They naturally anticipate needs, enjoy solving operational puzzles, communicate proactively, and get genuine satisfaction from creating order out of complexity. If your first instinct is to ask, “What can I do to keep this moving?” you’ll probably fit right in.
Our Values - The way we do our work is just as important as the work itself. These values define the experience we strive to create for our clients and the expectations we have for ourselves and one another.
- Demonstrate EQ, Not Just IQ: We serve with emotional fluency. In high-touch, high-trust environments, how you make someone feel matters. We bring empathy, discretion, and situational awareness to every interaction, whether supporting a client, collaborating with teammates, or coordinating behind the scenes.
- Own the Experience: Every interaction is your responsibility. From the first touchpoint to the final follow-up, you take ownership of the client and team experience. You anticipate needs, follow through, and never leave people wondering what happens next.
- Obsess Over the Details: Excellence lives in the details. Names, notes, schedules, preferences, follow-ups, and communication all matter. We operate in an environment where precision is a form of respect.
- Build Genuine Connections: Authenticity builds trust. Our clients and partners can tell the difference between scripted service and genuine care. We strive to build lasting relationships by being thoughtful, engaged, and authentic.
- Act with Initiative: Anticipation is one of the highest forms of service. We don’t wait to be told what to do. We think ahead, solve problems before they become problems, and take ownership without being asked.
- Be Proactively Transparent: Trust is built through clarity. We communicate early, share context, raise concerns before they escalate, and are comfortable having honest conversations. Internally and externally, we believe transparency builds stronger relationships.
- Have a Growth Mindset: Better today than yesterday. We embrace feedback, learn from mistakes, continually improve our craft, and approach every challenge with humility, curiosity, and a desire to grow.
