What they need
STRIVE Training Club Coach Role - Build a career in coaching
Full-time employed role | 38 hours per week | $80,000 to $90,000 per year + super
STRIVE is a small group personal training gym. In two years we’ve opened two gyms, in Doubleview and Shenton Park.
We’re aiming for 10 gyms in 10 years, and we’re looking for a qualified Personal Trainer to join our coaching team.
This is a fully employed position. There’s no rent to pay and you don’t need to build your own client book.
You’ll join an established team, coach STRIVE Training Club members, sharpen your skills and build a real career in fitness.
We want someone who loves coaching, cares about people and has the energy to keep getting better.
The role
Our Coaches shape how members feel about STRIVE every time they walk in.
You’ll run Small Group Personal Training sessions that get results, helping members of all fitness levels make real progress.
Your role will include:
- Deliver engaging Small Group Personal Training Sessions & Large Group Fitness Classes: Coach 4-7 dynamic group class sessions per day (30 - 35 hours per week), ensuring high energy, safe movement standards, and an inclusive environment for all fitness levels.
- Manage a member cohort: Take ownership of a group of 40–60 members, providing ongoing support outside of class through check-ins, accountability, lifestyle guidance, and progress tracking.
- Run and participate in events: Lead, organise, and attend community events, workshops, and challenges that build connection, engagement, and brand culture.
- Assist with operations: Support administrative and operational tasks as needed, contributing to the smooth running of the gym and helping the wider team deliver an exceptional member experience.
- Social Media Responsibilities: Our Doubleview social channels act as a shop window for our local audience. Each week, you’ll be responsible for taking over the page’s stories - showing up with enthusiasm, speaking confidently to educate our audience, and consistently bringing value through your content.
As you develop, you’ll have the chance to take on more responsibility, support other Coaches and move into leadership roles.
Who we’re looking for
You must be a Certificate IV qualified Personal Trainer.
After that, we care most about the person.
You’ll do well at STRIVE if you are:
- Friendly, approachable and great with people
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Keen to learn and improve
- Comfortable taking feedback and being coached yourself
- A team player
- Proactive and happy to take responsibility
- Passionate about giving members a great experience
- Excited to grow with an ambitious business
Everything we do is built around our four Core Values:
- Always be kind
- Relentless energy
- Hungry to grow
- The extra mile
Working pattern
This is a full-time position, working 38 hours per week.
Our gyms run early mornings and evenings Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings. Coaches work a fixed roster with no split shifts, including one Saturday a month, so you’ll need to be comfortable with these hours.
What you’ll get
We want STRIVE to be a place where good Coaches stay for the long run.
You’ll receive:
- $80,000 to $90,000 annual salary, plus superannuation
- 20 days annual leave
- Ongoing professional development and investment in your coaching
- Unlimited training at any STRIVE Training Club location
- Regular team events and socials
- Real opportunities to progress as STRIVE grows
Why STRIVE?
We’re growing fast, and we’re very protective of our culture.
We want good people to build careers here. We invest in our Coaches, promote leaders from within and open up new roles as we add locations.
Application process
Who you are matters more to us than a perfect CV.
If you’re shortlisted, we’ll ask for a short one-minute video covering:
- Your name and a bit about yourself
- Why you’d like to join STRIVE Training Club
- Why you’d be a great fit for our team
- One interesting fact about you
We look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
The STRIVE Training Club Team
