Personal Trainer: Consistent Hours, Consistent Clients

You'll step into an established client base, guaranteed weekly hours, and a consistent schedule from day one at GRIT. We aren't a commercial gym. Our coaches spend their time coaching, not walking the floor looking for clients. No cold calling. No unpaid floor hours. No pressure to sell memberships. Just meaningful coaching and long-term relationships with great clients.

Pay: $22 per hour
Hours: 10-12 per week
Schedule: Evening shifts (3:30 PM–6:30 PM) available

GRIT Fitness is a boutique personal training studio in Louisville, KY specializing in private and semi-private coaching for busy adults and professionals. Our coaching experience is relationship-driven, highly personalized, and built around long-term results.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced, professional coach who can confidently lead both personal training and small group sessions while building strong relationships with our members.

The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, experience, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and the ability to connect with adults in a high-touch coaching environment. Experience and people skills matter just as much as technical knowledge here.

Responsibilities

• Lead private personal training and semi-private small group sessions
• Deliver coaching with energy, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Build strong relationships with members, many of whom are busy professional adults
• Help create a welcoming, positive training environment
• (For experienced candidates) conduct consultations and movement assessments with prospective members

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of coaching experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, etc.) or related degree
• Comfortable working with adults and professionals in a relationship-driven setting
• Professional, dependable, and growth-oriented
• Team-player mentality with a willingness to learn and improve
