What they need
About MTN STRNG:
At MTN STRNG, we coach adults ages 30–60 to build muscle, reduce pain, and perform better in the mountains—so they can move with confidence for decades. Our approach blends strength training, capacity work, and principles of physical therapy to help people train smarter, stay durable, and keep doing the activities they love.
The Role:
We’re looking for a part-time coach to join the MTN STRNG team. This isn’t just about running people through workouts—it’s about coaching with purpose. You’ll work directly with athletes in both small group and private training sessions, helping them train with skill, improve their performance, and build the foundation for long-term physical autonomy.
As a coach at MTN STRNG, you’ll:
- Lead and assist in small group and private training sessions.
- Build strong relationships with clients, meeting them where they’re at and guiding them toward progress.
- Bring sharp coaching eyes—spotting movement flags and giving feedback that keeps people safe, confident, and improving.
- Collaborate with our team on programming, systems, and marketing projects.
- Continue developing your own skills as a coach, with mentorship and ongoing education built into the role.
What We’re Looking For:
- You’ve got education or certification in Exercise Science, Strength & Conditioning, Personal Training, or a related field. (Pre-Script, CrossFit, Precision Nutrition, or other specialty certs are a plus.)
- You have hands-on coaching experience (internship, group classes, private training, or similar).
- You’re an excellent communicator and can create a great training experience for every client.
- You’re reliable, organized, and growth-minded—you want to keep learning and getting better.
- CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain).
- Bonus points if you love mountain sports, endurance training, or simply living an active lifestyle.
What You’ll Get:
- Competitive hourly pay for coaching sessions.
- Mentorship and education from MTN STRNG’s head coach.
- The chance to be part of a small, high-level coaching team making a big impact in our community.
- Opportunities to grow your role as MTN STRNG expands.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time, 8–15 hours per week to start, with room to grow.
- Mix of mornings, evenings, and weekends based on client needs.
- Compensation based on experience and certifications.
How to Apply:
Send us your resume and a short note on why you’d be a great fit for MTN STRNG. Tell us about your coaching background, and what excites you about helping mountain athletes get stronger and more capable.
