What they need
Experienced Personal Trainer | Sam Mulroy Fitness, Monasterboice
This is not an entry-level role. If you’re newly qualified and looking for somewhere to learn the ropes, this isn’t the right fit right now. We’re looking for an experienced coach who is ready to commit, take ownership and grow with us.
About SMF
Since 2020, Sam Mulroy Fitness has built a coach-led facility in Monasterboice, Co. Louth. Our members are committed. They show up, they put in the work and they stay with us for the long term because of the coaching, the structure and the relationships they build here.
We expect the same from our coaches. We want people who are committed to their members, to the team and to their own development, and who see SMF as a place to build a career, not pass through.
Who we’re looking for
A minimum of 2 years’ experience coaching clients, ideally including small group training.
A recognised fitness qualification (or equivalent).
Confidence coaching strength training to adults of all ability levels, including beginners, people returning to exercise, and people training around niggles.
Someone who takes ownership. You follow through on what you say you’ll do without being chased.
Someone who wants to be part of a team for the long term, not a stepping stone.
Availability for early mornings and evenings, with a consistent weekly schedule.
What the role involves
Coaching small group PT sessions and conditioning classes to a high, consistent standard.
Building real relationships with members and being a big part of why they stay.
Supporting new members through our structured trial and member journey.
Following our systems and standards, and helping improve them.
Taking ownership of an area of the business as you grow into the role.
What you get
A busy, established member base. You won’t be building a client list from scratch.
A clear structure, defined systems and real support from a leadership team that invests in its coaches.
Ongoing development through regular one-to-ones, coach progress checks and CPD, both in house and external.
A culture built on standards, accountability and community.
Salary: €33,000 to €37,000, depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, split across morning and evening shifts
Contract: Full time
Start date: Immediately
