Personal Training Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Personal Training Director to lead and elevate our fitness team. Responsibilities

• Lead the recruitment, training, and mentorship of personal trainers to ensure high-quality service delivery and professional growth.
• Develop comprehensive, personalized workout plans tailored to individual client needs, goals, and fitness levels.
• Oversee daily operations of the personal training department, including scheduling, client consultations, and program management.
• Ensure all trainers adhere to safety protocols such as first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, manual handling procedures, and liability insurance requirements.
• Design innovative fitness programs incorporating biomechanics, body mechanics, anatomy knowledge, and physiology principles to maximize client results.
• Foster strong client relationships through effective communication, motivation, and excellent customer service to promote retention and satisfaction.
• Drive sales efforts by promoting personal training packages and fitness services while maintaining ethical standards in fitness sales practices.
• Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge by staying current with fitness trends, certifications in group fitness or physical education experience, and health club standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sports coaching, personal training, or fitness industry leadership with a strong background in program design and coaching techniques.
• Extensive knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and body mechanics essential for creating safe and effective workout plans.
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), first aid, AED operation, manual handling training, and liability insurance compliance required.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate clients through coaching techniques that foster confidence and achievement in their fitness goals.
• Experience teaching physical education or group fitness classes is highly desirable.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to promote services effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Familiarity with gym equipment operation including heavy lifting safety procedures; experience working in health clubs or gym environments preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
