Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective clients through personalized consultations to assess their fitness needs and motivate them towards achieving their goals
• Promote and sell personal training packages, memberships, and wellness programs with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Build strong rapport with clients by understanding their motivations, preferences, and challenges to tailor effective workout plans
• Educate clients on the benefits of personal training, biomechanics, body mechanics, and program design to enhance their fitness experience
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fitness trends, industry standards, and health club offerings to provide accurate information
• Support the onboarding process for new clients by explaining facility amenities, safety protocols including first aid and AED operation, and liability insurance requirements
• Collaborate with trainers and staff to ensure seamless client service delivery and foster a motivating environment that encourages client retention

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fitness sales or customer service within the fitness industry or health club setting
• Background in sports coaching, physical education teaching, or related fields demonstrating coaching skills and client engagement abilities
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, nutrition, and program design to effectively communicate benefits to clients
• Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and liability insurance are required
• Familiarity with gym equipment handling, heavy lifting techniques, manual handling safety protocols, and injury prevention practices
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and motivate diverse clients
• Experience teaching physical education or coaching sports adds valuable insight into client motivation strategies
