Pest Control Lawn Technician

Job Overview

We are a small, family owned company working exclusively in Alachua County. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing pest issues in residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help ensure a safe and pest-free environment for our clients. This position requires a combination of technical skills, customer service abilities, and a willingness to learn about pest control methods and products.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest and disease problems.
• Landscape health management including, but not limited to, lawn and shrub spraying, fertilizing, weed and fungus control.
• Apply appropriate pest control treatments using hand tools, power tools, and machinery as needed.
• Provide recommendations to clients on pest prevention measures and landscape management.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed, including treatments applied and follow-up schedules.
• Educate clients on the importance of pest control and landscape care to enhance their property’s health.
• Drive to various job sites in a timely manner while adhering to all safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Skills

• No experience necessary.
• Great people skills, with both team members and clients
• Sales skills are a plus to effectively communicate the benefits of services offered.
• General knowledge of hand tools, power tools, small engines and plumbing is not necessary but advantageous.
• No knowledge of lawn care practices and landscape management is necessary.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically in various situations.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving history is a must.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
