Pest Control Technician

Overview

Looking to start a career, not just find a job? Purple Bear Pest Control is a growing, locally owned company in Charleston, and we're hiring a part-time technician who wants to learn a trade from the ground up and grow with us into a full-time role.

This is a great first career for someone hungry and coachable. No pest control experience needed — if you're dependable, willing to learn, and good with people, we'll train you from scratch. You'll start out under our company license and we'll help you earn your own South Carolina applicator license. Show us you're reliable and eager, and there's real room to move up fast.

What you'll do:

• Drive our company truck to homes and businesses on your route
• Learn to treat for the usual Lowcountry pests — ants, roaches, spiders, wasps, mosquitoes, and rodents
• Represent Purple Bear at every stop — you're the face of the company
• Keep simple notes on each service

What we're looking for:

• Hungry and coachable — you want to learn and move up
• Reliable — you show up and do what you say you'll do
• Clean driving record (you'll be driving our truck)
• Able to pass a background check
• Comfortable with fast-paced, on-your-feet, outdoor work in the Charleston heat
• Friendly and respectful with customers
• No experience required — we'll teach you everything

Schedule & pay:

• 2–3 solid days a week — about 10–12 hours each (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). Full days, not scraps.
• $25/hour
• A clear path to full-time as you grow with us
