Pest Control Technician / Wildlife Exclusion Specialist

Most pest control companies hand you a sprayer and a route. We hand you power tools and a roofing harness.. and also a sprayer.

Tactical Wildlife Control is a family-owned wildlife and pest company serving the northwest Chicago suburbs. When the company you currently work for fails, we are who the customer calls next to bring a final solution.

Your week will look like this

• 40-60% pest control: Residential IPM services for rodents, ants, spiders, wasps, and other common pests - recurring customer routes.
• 40-60% exclusion work: Structural exclusion, this ranges from rodent exclusion on the ground to bat or squirrel exclusion while in a harness at heights.
• We'll help you get your Class A Wildlife Control Permit [confirm exact permit name/type] so you can help with trapping and removal.

You might be a fit if you

• Current and extensive understanding of residential pest control
• Like working with your hands and solving puzzles (how did that squirrel get in there?)
• Are comfortable on ladders, roofs, and in tight attics and crawlspaces
• Take pride in clean, quality work
• Are good with people. Homeowners are often stressed, and you'll be the calm one
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Are reliable and coachable. Experience is a plus but not required. We'll train the right person.
• Have drive, motivation, and the desire build a career

Schedule: Monday-Friday with potential weekend options

Physical requirements: Lifting up to <50 lbs, climbing ladders, working at heights, crawling in confined spaces, and working outdoors in all seasons. Work at heights is required, not optional. When we say "heights" we mean HEIGHTS. This position requires the frequent use and handling of tall ladders and steep roofs.
