Pest Control Technician (NYSDEC 7F Certified), Manhattan Walking Route

Manhattan's restaurants, food businesses, apartment buildings and offices count on us to keep pests out, and they have for 97 years. We're looking for a certified Pest Control Technician to take over a walking service route in Manhattan. You'll be the person our clients know by name and trust to get the job done right.

About the role

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Most of your day is a walking route in Manhattan, and you'll get around between stops on an unlimited OMNY transit pass that we pay for. Now and then we may need you on a driving route in another borough. We also have a Saturday-only route for the right candidate.

What you'll do

• Provide pest control services for residential and commercial accounts, including food service and food-handling sites.
• Inspect each site, identify the problem and apply treatments safely and in line with NYSDEC regulations.
• Keep accurate service records in PestPac, our cloud-based system. We'll train you.
• Talk with clients clearly and professionally, explaining what you found and what you did.
• Keep your route on schedule by managing your regular visits and service calls.

What you'll need

• An active NYSDEC pesticide certification in Category 7F (Food Processing).
• At least 2 years of work experience, including hands-on pest control fieldwork.
• The ability to walk a full-day route in all kinds of weather, climb stairs and carry your equipment.
• Comfort using an iPhone or other handheld device, and a willingness to learn new software.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• NYSDEC Category 7A (Structural & Rodent) or other Category 7 certifications.
• Experience with PestPac.
