Pest Control Technician – General Pest & Proofing

Mornington Peninsula · Full-time · $70,000–$85,000 + super + commission · Fully equipped ute

We're a small, local pest control business on the Mornington Peninsula, and we do things differently to the big corporates. That means we take a quality over quantity approach, and no being run into the ground with unrealistic service times.

We focus on premium service, so you get the time to do every job properly, without rushing or cutting corners. You'll deal directly with the owner, work with good gear, and be treated like a person whose life outside work actually matters.

We're looking for a reliable, licensed technician to join us full-time, focused on general pest control and pest exclusion (proofing) work.

The role

You'll handle our general pest and exclusion work across the Mornington Peninsula, Frankston and surrounds. Day to day, that means:

• Inspecting homes and businesses for pest activity and reporting on what you find
• Treating general pests: ants, cockroaches, spiders, rodents, wasps, fleas, pest birds and the like
• Exclusion and proofing: finding and sealing entry points, and installing rodent-proofing mesh, bird proofing, door seals and physical barriers that keep pests out for good
• Safely handling, mixing and applying chemicals, and keeping accurate records
• Looking after your ute, equipment and gear
• Being the friendly, professional face of the business with our clients

What we're after

Essential:

• A current Victorian Pest Control Licence and at least 12 months' experience
• A current Victorian driver licence
• Comfortable in roof voids and subfloors and up ladders
• Reliable and self-motivated: you turn up when you say you will and don't need anyone looking over your shoulder
• Good with people: you can explain what you've found and how you'll fix it in plain language, whoever you're talking to

Nice to have:

• Exclusion or proofing experience (rodent proofing, bird proofing, sealing, basic handy skills)
• Local knowledge of the Peninsula
• An interest in rural pest control, like rabbits and foxes

What we offer

• Above-award pay: $70,000–$85,000 + super, plus commission

• A fully equipped work ute, uniform, PPE and all core equipment, so you're never out of pocket to do the job

• A mix of residential, commercial and rural work, on some of the most beautiful properties the Peninsula has to offer

• A supportive, no-nonsense small team where your work is genuinely valued and rewarded

• Real opportunity to grow with the business and upskill into niche areas like rural and vertebrate pest control

• We are also open to sub-contractor, casual or even part-time arrangements depending on the candidate
