Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest issues using hand tools, power tools, and ladder access when necessary
• Apply chemical agents safely and accurately following pesticide management guidelines and integrated pest management strategies
• Operate company vehicles responsibly, adhering to all driving safety regulations and maintaining vehicle condition
• Use ladder safety procedures and confined space entry safety protocols when accessing hard-to-reach areas for pest treatment
• Educate customers on pest control methods, including pesticide application techniques, pest biology (entomology), and prevention strategies
• Manage chemical agents responsibly, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal in compliance with safety standards
• Promote sales by explaining service plans, upselling additional treatments or products, and building lasting customer relationships through excellent service
• Follow all safety protocols diligently, including respiratory protection measures during chemical handling and outdoor work environments
• Maintain detailed records of treatments performed, chemicals used, and customer interactions for compliance and quality assurance

Skills

• Proven experience in pest control, pesticide application knowledge, or related fields such as lawn care, farming, landscaping or agriculture
• Strong sales skills with the ability to communicate effectively and persuade customers about service benefits
• Mechanical knowledge for operating power tools, farm machinery, hand tools, and other equipment safely and efficiently
• Familiarity with ladder use, ladder safety procedures, confined space entry safety procedures, and outdoor work environments
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling, pesticide management practices, respiratory protection techniques, and safety protocol adherence
• Customer service orientation with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly while maintaining a clean driving record
• Experience with land management or farming practices is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is essential

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
