Pet Expert

As a Pet Expert, you will be the go-to resource for customers seeking advice on pet care, nutrition, and product selection. Duties

• Provide personalized guidance to customers on pet nutrition, health, grooming, and care needs
• Demonstrate product features and benefits through engaging product demos and explanations
• Assist customers with selecting appropriate merchandise, including food, toys, accessories, and health supplies
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, cash handling, and receipts
• Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals
• Maintain organized shelves and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are upheld throughout the store
• Continuous stocking of shelves with product to maintain available inventory.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably within pet or specialty retail environments
• Basic math skills for cash handling, POS operation, and inventory management
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
• Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques, POS systems, and retail best practices is preferred
• Ability to lift 40lbs on a regular basis.

Pay: $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 30.0 per week
