The Opportunity

This Pet Sitter role is ideal for animal lovers who want meaningful, hands-on work with pets while maintaining a flexible schedule. You will be the trusted, consistent presence for pets while their owners are away, helping them stay on their normal routines and giving clients peace of mind.

You will work within a 7-mile radius of your home or agreed-upon territory in select Dallas zip codes, building a regular client base over time. As you grow with us, you will deepen your animal care skills, earn Pet First Aid & CPR certification, and become a go-to resource for pet parents in your community.

What You'll Do

• Provide daily in-home care for dogs, cats, and other pets within a 7-mile radius of your residence or assigned territory.
• Follow each pet’s routine by feeding on schedule, walking, playing, and offering companionship tailored to their energy level and personality.
• Administer medications as directed, carefully following client instructions and noting any changes in behavior or health.
• Keep pets and homes secure by handling light home care duties such as retrieving mail, watering plants, and taking out the trash.
• Use our online system to review visit instructions, update pet records, and communicate clearly with clients and office staff after each visit.

What Success Looks Like

• Within your first few months, clients consistently rebook you because their pets are relaxed, well-cared-for, and on their regular routines when they return home.
• You reliably complete each visit as scheduled, follow care instructions precisely, and maintain excellent on-time and attendance records.
• Your visit notes, photos, and updates through our online system give clients clear visibility into how their pets are doing, resulting in positive feedback and reviews.
• By the end of your first year, you are confidently caring for a variety of breeds and temperaments, administering medications safely, and handling all weather conditions on walks.

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on animal care experience and an understanding of pets’ physical, social, and emotional needs.
• Highly reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability to pets and their owners.
• Comfort working outdoors and walking dogs in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• A tech-savvy communicator who can comfortably use apps, texts, and email, and who has a reliable car, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Compensation and Benefits

• $18–$22 per hour on average, including drive time, plus gratuities.
• Flexible schedule, PTO, paid Tele-Doc subscription, ongoing paid training, Pet First Aid & CPR certification, and discounts on pet sitting services.
