Pet Sitter

Jog My Dog is Lethbridge's leading locally owned pet service company. We have a vivid social media presence, and a goal to change pet care in Lethbridge. Jog My Dog is known for our fun, energetic, safe, and exceptional pet care. We are expanding faster than ever and need exceptional dog and cat lovers on our team!

This job is flexible and part-time, you receive a schedule a month in advance, and if any additional jobs are needed, you get sent the request and have freedom to accept or reject. Giving you both stability, and the ability to earn more. This job works best for students or other part-time workers, since most walks are between 9am-3pm, and overnight pet care requires you to not leave animals alone longer than 5 hours.

Pay: $25/night + $25/ night for additional dog

Location: You home, or Client homes in Lethbridge and surrounding areas

We're looking for reliable, animal-loving pet sitters to join our team. We offer two types of pet sitting arrangements, and you're welcome to take on either or both:

• In-home stays — stay overnight at the client's home to care for their pet(s) in a familiar environment.
• In your own home — host a client's dog in your own home while they're away. This option requires that you have no other animals in your home, or, friendly well-mannered animals. It also requires a home evaluation from our pet-care manager.

What you'll do:

• Meet with clients in person before a booking to go over their pet's needs
• Follow each client's specific routine closely (feeding schedules, exercise, house rules, etc.)
• Administer medication as needed
• Discuss safety and emergency procedures with each client so you're prepared if something goes wrong
• Message clients frequently during the care, and send daily report cards with photo updates and fun quirky messages about their adventures with you.
• Walk dogs, including some dogs with reactivity, on a case-by-case basis

Schedule:

• You're in control — accept or decline requests as they come in
• Minimum commitment: 7 working days within any 2-month period

• You enjoy a laid back weekend, and focusing on your work or goals.
• You are responsive via text and phone calls, and naturally present enthusiastically through text/ written messages.
• You enjoy taking photos and social media content. You would love the opportunity to get creative creating content with dogs.

You would be good at this job if:

• • You have excellent English speaking and writing, and enjoy writing creatively.
• • You are active, energetic, and love being outdoors in all kinds of weather.
• • You love dogs and cats, and have experience training or raising animals.
• • You enjoy being a homebody.
• • You can walk and run with no issues
• • You enjoy large animals jumping on you, barking at you, and slobbering on you.
• • You have a confident demeanour around animals and are comfortable with your ability to take charge in dangerous or unexpected situations.

Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• Clear criminal record check
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Comfortable and confident working with dogs, including reactive ones
• Strong communication skills for client meet-and-greets and ongoing updates
• Strong organizational skills, you will be required to manage your own schedule and set up meet n greets timely.

Pay: From $25.00 per day
