Pharmacy Technician (NJ Licensed)

Location: Pine Brook, NJ

Schedule: Full-Time | Sunday-Thursday | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy operations team in Pine Brook, NJ . In this role, you will be responsible for retrieving medications from inventory, processing prescription orders, counting and packaging medications for pharmacist review, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting the efficient operation of the pharmacy.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service are essential. Our patients depend on us to deliver important, and sometimes life-saving, medications in a timely and accurate manner.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Sunday through Thursday
• 8-hour shifts between 3:00 PM and 11:30 PM
• Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends based on business needs

Primary Responsibilities

• Process and fill prescription orders in preparation for pharmacist verification
• Retrieve medications from stock and inventory locations
• Count, package, and label prescription medications accurately
• Pack and ship completed prescription orders to patients
• Maintain drug inventory and automated dispensing units
• Remove expired or outdated products from shelves
• Assist with inventory replenishment and stock management
• Maintain appropriate par levels of pre-packaged auxiliary items
• Replenish workstation supplies, including vials, caps, labels, and other pharmacy materials
• Navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously to process prescriptions and access medication information
• Conduct occasional customer service outreach calls to patients
• Make inquiries regarding shipped orders and delivery status as needed
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician License required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience working with multiple computer applications and systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks as needed
