What they need
About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Program Analyst to join our growing team in the Dominican Republic.
This role will consist of researching and monitoring the U.S. pharmaceutical market, including manufacturer patient support programs, new drug launches, generic and biosimilar developments, and other market changes that may impact program operations.
The ideal candidate has a background in pharmacy, pharmaceuticals, health sciences, market access, patient access, or a related field and is comfortable researching complex pharmaceutical information, identifying meaningful changes, maintaining accurate program information, and communicating findings clearly to internal stakeholders.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with pharmaceutical knowledge who wants to apply their experience in a research, analytical, and operational role within a growing healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor publicly available manufacturer patient support programs for changes to eligibility requirements, program terms, availability, enrollment processes, and other relevant criteria.
- Research newly launched medications and relevant developments within the U.S. pharmaceutical market.
- Monitor generic and biosimilar launches and assess their potential impact on existing programs and internal workflows.
- Identify and document changes to manufacturer program requirements and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders.
- Research drug manufacturers, indications, formulations, dosing, product changes, and publicly available patient support resources.
- Maintain accurate and current drug and manufacturer program information within internal resources and systems.
- Review existing drug programs for changes in availability, requirements, or other operational considerations.
- Evaluate newly identified medications against established internal program criteria and recommend appropriate updates to internal drug lists.
- Identify pharmaceutical market developments that may require operational, training, or workflow updates.
- Prepare reports and summaries for leadership highlighting relevant program changes, market developments, risks, and operational considerations.
- Collaborate with U.S.-based operations, clinical, pharmacy, and leadership teams to ensure program information remains accurate and current.
- Support ongoing research initiatives and special projects related to pharmaceutical programs and patient access.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Advanced or fluent English proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Strong pharmaceutical research and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex program requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work comfortably with data.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently research complex topics and communicate findings clearly.
- Ability to work effectively with U.S.-based teams and English-language pharmaceutical resources.
Preferred:
- Previous experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Experience in market access, patient access, patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, pharmaceutical operations, medical affairs support, or a related area.
- Familiarity with manufacturer patient support programs, copay assistance programs, and patient assistance programs (PAPs).
- Understanding of brand-name medications, generics, biosimilars, specialty medications, indications, formulations, and dosing.
- Experience researching U.S. pharmaceutical products, manufacturers, or healthcare programs.
- Experience analyzing pharmaceutical or healthcare data and presenting findings to internal stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical, and proactive —someone who enjoys investigating changes and understanding their potential impact rather than simply documenting information.
A successful candidate should be comfortable researching a medication or manufacturer program and answering questions such as:
What has changed? What are the current program requirements? Who may be eligible? Has the product, formulation, or market landscape changed? What operational impact could the change have? Does our internal drug information or workflow need to be updated?
The right candidate will combine pharmaceutical knowledge, research skills, attention to detail, and sound business judgment to help our teams stay informed as the pharmaceutical landscape evolves.
Language Requirements
English: Advanced/Fluent – Required
Spanish: Fluent
How to Apply
Please submit your resume for consideration.
- Candidates selected to move forward may be asked to complete a brief pharmaceutical research and analytical exercise to demonstrate their ability to research a medication or manufacturer program, identify relevant information, and clearly communicate their findings.
