As a Staff Pharmacist you will perform various duties related to counseling patients, verifying prescriptions and monitoring disease interactions and Drug Utilization Reviews. You'll have a direct impact on the lives of our members as you consult with physicians regarding medications and overall wellness.

Responsibilities Include:

• Pharmacy oversight to ensure the safety of pharmacy operations and personnel
• Clinical consults with patients and physicians
• Utilizes clinical skills to perform Drug Utilization Reviews
• Inspects and verifies prescriptions
• Organizes workload, sets priorities, completes assignments in a timely manner and utilizes resources appropriately while complying with department program standards
• Performs all duties and functions in compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Assisting with the management of the pharmacy benefit and developing and delivering clinical and educational interventions designed to improve pharmaceutical use
• Develops and conducts educational initiatives to improve prescribing patterns
• Assists development and conducting quality improvement programs related to the pharmacy program
• Evaluates medication authorization requests and providing oversight to the medication PA process

Qualifications:

• Must have a current (or active) and in good standing (or without restrictions) NEW JERSEY license.
• 3-5 years experience preferred.

Micromerchant PrimeRX software a plus

Pay: $60.00 - $62.00 per hour
