Pharmacist

Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines accurately as per the prescription and ensure proper dosage and instructions.
• Verify prescriptions and clarify any discrepancies with the concerned doctor.
• Maintain adequate stock of medicines and monitor stock levels regularly.
• Check the expiry dates, batch numbers, and storage conditions of all medicines.
• Maintain proper records of medicine purchases, issues, returns, and stock movements.
• Ensure medicines are stored safely as per required temperature and storage guidelines.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other departments regarding medication requirements.
• Handle pharmacy billing and ensure accurate entry of medicines in the system.
• Follow hospital pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Monitor and maintain controlled/high-alert medication records, where applicable.
• Support periodic stock audits and reconciliation.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper documentation within the pharmacy.
• Provide appropriate guidance to patients regarding medication usage when required.
• Report stock shortages, expired medicines, damages, or discrepancies to the concerned authority.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety and medication safety practices.

Qualifications

• B.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
• Valid Pharmacy Council Registration.
• Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy software is preferred.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
