Pharmacist

Opportunity for an experienced Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in the. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a pharmacist with a retail pharmacy background and an active GA pharmacist license

Responsibilities:

-Responsible for performing all of the dispensing duties of a pharmacist, that all customers receive safe and accurate dispensing, and for adhering to all State and Federal Pharmacy laws regarding the dispensing of medications, record keeping, etc.

-Successful candidate will also be responsible for expanding and enhancing clinical services in the ambulatory care setting including MTM in this position.

-Pharmacist will precept pharmacy students and serve as a drug information resource to patients and other healthcare professionals.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree, or Pharm. D., from an approved school of pharmacy and registration by the state board of licensure. Licensed to practice pharmacy in Georgia
• (PREFERD) APhA Immunizations Certification and registered (or eligible to become registered) to provide immunizations in GA

Experience:

• One-year experience as a practicing pharmacist.
• One-year experience in Sterile Compounding.
• Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Knowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.
• Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Ability to assume essential responsibilities and duties in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager
• Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $80.00 per hour
