Kepple Lane Pharmacy are delighted to announce that we have a fantastic opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our very busy and friendly team.

We are located within a large medical practice, open 72 hours a week and have a modern automated dispensing robot. This is a role that will take plenty of passion and drive and a commitment to great customer service and providing outstanding clinical services to our patients.

We are ideally looking for someone who can work 40 hours per week, including every fourth Saturday. The role will consist primarily of working within the pharmacy, supported by the dispensary team and automated dispensing robot, alongside dedicated sessions within the GP practice. Pharmacy shifts will consist of either 8.30am-5.30pm or 1.00pm-9.00pm, with GP practice shifts worked on a 9.00am-6.00pm basis.

As part of the role, you will work alongside the Primary Care Network and GP practice to support medicines optimisation. This will include a patient-facing role in managing long-term conditions, working directly with patients to assess and treat conditions, promoting self-care, conducting clinical medication reviews and providing prescribing support where appropriate.

The successful candidate will also run processes for repeat prescription reauthorisation and management of medicines on transfer of care and systems for safer prescribing. In return, we will support the development of your role, including opportunities to become an Independent Prescriber and undertake continued professional development.

The pharmacy works alongside the medical practice, which is a healthcare professional training site with designated medical practitioners such as GPs, NP’s and Practice Pharmacists.

Experience in General Practice would be advantageous but is not essential if the applicant is clinically up to date and understands the process of a full medication review within a primary care setting.
