Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and safety standards
• Provide expert consultation to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate with medical teams to develop and review patient medication plans, especially in hospital or acute care environments
• Maintain detailed records of medication dispensed, patient interactions, and inventory management
• Monitor patient responses to medications and report adverse reactions or concerns promptly
• Educate patients on proper medication administration, storage, and adherence strategies
• Stay current with medical terminology, pharmaceutical advancements, and regulatory requirements to uphold best practices in patient care

Requirements

• Valid pharmacist licensure in the relevant jurisdiction with active registration
• Proven experience working in hospital or acute care settings is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and pharmacy laws
• Experience caring for pediatric patients is a valuable asset
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
