Pharmacist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient care, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. This is a critical role in our healthcare facility, and we are looking for someone with strong clinical knowledge and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
• Review medication orders for appropriateness and potential drug interactions
• Provide medication counseling to patients and answer any questions or concerns
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans
• Monitor patient response to medication therapy and adjust treatment as necessary
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
• Current pharmacist license in Ontario
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology
• Experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
