• Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, explaining usage, potential side effects, and interactions to promote safe medication practices.
• Conduct patient assessments to determine medication needs, review medical histories, and collaborate with healthcare providers on treatment plans.
• Manage inventory levels efficiently, including ordering, and stock rotation as needed to ensure medication availability.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions, medication histories, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in training pharmacy technicians and ensure adherence to safety standards such as HIPAA

Skills

• Experience in pharmacy operations with a focus on critical care or acute care environments
• Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and EMR/EHR platforms for accurate documentation and patient record management
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to perform thorough patient assessments and provide clear medication counseling.
• Familiarity with inventory management practices including stock control, medication ordering, and expiration tracking.
• Understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology principles relevant to diverse clinical scenarios.
