Pharmacist
Location: IHS outpatient facility - Fort Hall, ID 83203
Pay Rate: $70 per hour (1099 independent contractor) + Travel stipend (if applicable): $1,267 per week
Please keep in mind that payroll is processed on a biweekly basis.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, excluding federal holidays
Contract Length: 1 year base with 1 option year (anticipated start 2027)
Status: Position contingent upon contract award

Job Description:
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join the outpatient pharmacy team at an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility in Fort Hall, ID. This position supports an underserved community by providing safe, accurate medication dispensing and patient counseling in an outpatient setting.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
• Immunization certification if vaccination services are assigned
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English
• Ability to meet IHS credentialing and background requirements
• Experience in outpatient pharmacy practice preferred
• Experience with IHS Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS) and EHR systems preferred

Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions
• Screen for drug interactions, allergies, and therapeutic duplications
• Administer immunizations when assigned
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, IHS, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements
