About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Support Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified pharmacist to begin their career in community pharmacy, develop their clinical expertise and gain valuable experience in a supportive working environment. You will work closely with the pharmacy team to ensure the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care and support the day-to-day operations of the dispensary.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, accurate and legally compliant dispensing of prescriptions.
• Provide professional advice on medicines, healthcare and pharmacy services.
• Deliver excellent patient care and customer service.
• Support the delivery of professional pharmacy services and healthcare initiatives.
• Assist with stock management and pharmacy claims processes.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
• Contribute to the training and development of pharmacy students and junior team members, where required.

Requirements

• Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI), or eligibility to register.
• Newly qualified pharmacists are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient-focused approach and commitment to professional standards.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy pharmacy environment.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development.

Working Pattern

Flexibility is required across weekdays, weekends and Bank Holidays, including morning, mid and evening shifts.
