We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and clinically confident Community Pharmacist to join our busy, well-established independent pharmacy in Edmonton, North London, to provide full-time maternity cover.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys delivering clinical services, providing outstanding patient care and working alongside a supportive and experienced dispensary team.

Your Role

You will be responsible for the safe and effective running of the pharmacy, including:

• Acting as the Responsible Pharmacist and overseeing daily dispensary operations.
• Clinically screening NHS and private prescriptions.
• Supervising and supporting the pharmacy team.
• Providing expert advice and counselling to patients.
• Managing prescription queries, medication shortages and clinical concerns.
• Maintaining high standards of patient safety, governance and GPhC compliance.

Clinical Services

We are particularly interested in candidates who are experienced and competent in delivering:

• NHS Pharmacy First – consultations, assessments and appropriate treatment.
• NHS Hypertension Case-Finding Service – blood pressure monitoring and ABPM.
• NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service – initiation and continuation of oral contraception.
• New Medicine Service (NMS) – patient consultations and follow-up.
• Seasonal Flu Vaccinations – NHS and private services.

Relevant training, accreditation and authorisation will be required for applicable services.

What We're Looking For

• GPhC-registered pharmacist.
• Previous community pharmacy experience.
• Confident working independently as the Responsible Pharmacist.
• Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Organised, reliable and comfortable working in a busy pharmacy.
• Positive attitude towards teamwork and delivering clinical services.
• Experience using Positive Solutions Analyst PMR is desirable.
• Independent Prescriber qualification is an advantage but not essential.
