Location: Newburyport, MA (Onsite)

Duration: 4 Months

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift Options: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM (2 day shifts, 3 evening shifts)

Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to join a clinical pharmacy team. This position is responsible for prescription verification, medication dispensing, patient counseling, drug utilization reviews, and collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and verify prescription orders.

Perform first and second verification of prescriptions.

Conduct Drug Utilization Reviews (DURs).

Dispense medications in compliance with pharmacy regulations.

Counsel patients on medication usage and potential drug interactions.

Communicate with prescriber offices regarding prescription clarifications.

Handle patient and provider phone inquiries.

Collaborate with nursing and medical staff on medication-related concerns.

Resolve complex pharmacy and patient care issues.

Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.

Required Qualifications

Active Pharmacist (RPh) license required.

BS in Pharmacy or PharmD required.

Experience in a clinical or retail pharmacy environment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent patient counseling and communication abilities.

Proficiency with pharmacy systems and computer applications.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

100% onsite position in Newburyport, MA.

Collaborative clinical pharmacy setting.

Direct interaction with patients, providers, and healthcare teams.

Candidates must have an active Pharmacist license. Applicants without the required license and relevant pharmacy experience will not be considered.
