Job summary

The applicant must be a post-internship graduate with current practicing license or equivalent (for Pharm Tech) and have experience in interpreting and dispensing medications under strict supervision.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Dispensing medications for both in-patient and out-patient in the hospital under supervision using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Must be able to stock in and stock out medications, medical consumables and maintain proper inventory.
• Conduct regular stock audits, check the quality of incoming drugs and manage supply requisitions.
• Ensure medication safety protocols are strictly adhered to.
• Enforce strict medication dispensing guidelines as stipulated by PCN, NAFDAC etc
• Uphold Pharmacovigilance standards and ensure enforcement of all notices as prescribed by NAFDAC.
• Greet patients, answer questions about medications, and help process medication bills.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience
• A minimum of OND in a related field
• Must have sound knowledge in basic computer applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, email correspondence
• Ability to learn new inventory management applications like Lumi Merchant etc.
