Pharmacy Apprentice

Queensway Chemist is looking for a motivated, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our pharmacy team as a Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to start a career in community pharmacy, gain practical experience and work towards a recognised qualification while learning from experienced pharmacy professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacy team.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Support patients with general enquiries and direct clinical queries to the pharmacist.
• Help manage prescription collections, deliveries and stock control.
• Maintain accurate records and follow pharmacy procedures.
• Support NHS pharmacy services, including Pharmacy First and vaccination services, as appropriate to training and competence.
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality, patient safety and cleanliness.

Essential Requirements

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A responsible, reliable and professional approach.
• Basic English and maths skills, with willingness to complete the required apprenticeship training.
• An interest in healthcare and helping people.

Previous pharmacy experience is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
